The Glory of the Lord Rises Upon You, Do You See It?

The Glory of the Lord Rises Upon You, Do You See It

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1 We can know when the glory of the Lord has risen upon us because His face will be turned toward us and the anointing will be stronger in our lives than ever before. Look at this verse in Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

The Lord desires us to have His face shine upon us so He can be good to us all the time. If the glory of the Lord rises upon us then His favor will surround us. It is guaranteed. Psalm 5:12 “Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. “ God’s favor goes hand-in-hand with His face shining upon His people.

More than anything God desires to shine His face upon His children and He is pleased to profusely send His free blessings upon us. His favor or His glory shines on for a thousand generations and His favor endures for a lifetime. Throughout biblical history God has poured His favor and glory on individuals who sought after God with all their heart. Their hearts were totally consecrated to the Most High.

People need to take God shining His face upon them more seriously. This is a treasured but lost biblical truth in the church today. God has never lost sight of shining His face and glory upon us. Over the centuries we have lost sight of God’s desire to shine His face upon us.

God is a good God

God is a good God and He has always been a good God from eternity past into the present and forever. He desires His servants to prosper and this is a part of the Lord’s glory rising upon us. Psalm 35:27 “Let them shout for joy and be glad,

Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” It says let the Lord be magnified and let us say continually “The Lord delights in the prosperity of His servant. It doesn’t say He will put up with our prosperity but He delights in our prosperity.

Too many people think God is glorified if we live in abject poverty because it makes us such spiritual people. He doesn’t delight in our poverty at all. He wants us to prosper and He longs to shine His face upon us. He doesn’t turn His face  away from us. No, He looks toward us and shines His face toward us. Let His glory rise upon the earth and upon His children.

In Numbers 6 God commands that the children of Israel be blessed because He will/did turn His face to shine upon them. Lord Jesus turn your face toward us and let your glory rise upon us.
