Never Limit the Kingdom of God – Matthew 6:33

Never Limit the Kingdom of God

Can we hear the words of Jesus “Seek First the Kingdom of God”. Matthew 6:33 What does this really mean for us in 2022? It means that we cannot limit God and what He wants to do for us through His kingdom. If we are acting in fear and thinking anxious thoughts throughout the day it’s a good bet we are limiting God in our thought life

It says in Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”And this means that God can do anything and we cannot limit Him to what He can do in our lives. There was a famous preacher who God had spoken to about 20 years ago. The Lord spoke to him through Psalm 78:41 which says” Yes, again and again, they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.”

The Lord spoke to this minister and said you need to stop limiting me. The minister was touched deeply by the word and decided to stop limiting God. The Lord has proven Himself to be God in this ministry and has done miraculous things in the ministry in twenty years.  The ministry has grown exponentially in twenty years in every area of the ministry. The Lord started to open the windows of heaven immediately and things began to take off because the minister obeyed the word of the Lord.

Part of seeking the Kingdom of God first is to take the limits off God and let God be God. When we limit God we grieve Him because we aren’t trusting Him and we aren’t walking by faith. God isn’t pleased unless we walk in faith with Him.

The bible is full of acts God performed for the children of Israel and how He delivered them time and time again through supernatural means. Even when they were complaining and walking in unbelief He still performed signs and wonders for them.

God desires to open the windows of heaven

They grieved His Spirit because they wouldn’t take the limits off Him. They limited God by their continual grumbling. What is the lesson to be learned here? If we keep grumbling against God and hardened our hearts toward Him because of unbelief. He will not be able to do what he wants to do in our lives.

God desires to open the windows of heaven for every single one of His children on the planet. But He cannot because so many people limit Him with small thinking. He has given us God-sized promises throughout His word. But we need to take them literally and put God to His Word.
He said in Malachi 3:10”  Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”  God spoke these words directly to believers universally. These words are valid for all believers in all ages. God doesn’t want us to ever limit Him. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
