Jesus The One and Only Lord

Jesus The One and Only Lord

Make no doubt that Jesus is Lord and there is none other. and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:11 To the Glory of God Jesus will be confessed as Lord over heaven and earth and He and only He is Lord of heaven and earth. He is the one and only Lord over heaven and earth and there is no other and I mean no other. He is the only one who died on the cross and so He deserves all the glory from one end of the earth to the other.

Someday soon every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord both in heaven and on earth. He is Lord that holds all power and authority and a sure sign of His Lordship is that He and only He is sitting at the right hand of God. Do we realize the importance of this positioning? He is equal with God in power, authority and importance.

The universe was created through Him and apart from Him nothing was created. John1:3 “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” Jesus the Lord of life was an integral part of creation because as the verse says nothing was created without him.

Another aspect of His Lordship is that  He is the High Priest of our confession because He is the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 3:1 ”Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus.”  The Lord brings to pass what we confess and there are many verses in the bible that tell us we can say what we have.

whatever we ask for in prayer if we believe and receive it

The Lord Jesus showed us and said to us that we can have whatever we ask for in prayer if we believe and receive it. The Lord showed us the power of this truth in the fig tree example. Look at this story Mark 12-14, 20-24 “The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it. In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.  “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

There are so many ramifications to Jesus’ Lordship things that we don’t even know about but will be revealed at the right time. Jesus is the only Lord.
