Jesus is Near

Jesus is Near

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. Psalm 145:18 Jesus is not light years away but He is in our hearts if we know Him. He is so near we can feel his footsteps and feel His sweet breath, let us rest in His tender bosom. Jesus died for us on Calvary to be near us so He could fellowship with us forever.

Jesus gave His precious blood and He was beaten beyond recognition besides having his side pierced through by a sharp spear. How can we say that Jesus is not near us when He gave His very life so He could be near us.

Jesus made a new covenant between God and us with His blood. In this new covenant, we are given a brand new spirit and we are made new creations. The new covenant allows Christ to come and dwell within each person who believes that He died for their sins.

God cannot be more intimate with us than to come and dwell inside our spirits. You cannot get more intimate than that can you? Philippians 4:5-7 “Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

presence of God

This verse tells us plainly that Jesus is so near to us always that we can call on His name in the presence of God and He always hears our prayers because 1John 5:14-15 says “he is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him”

Isaiah 59:1 reminds usBehold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear” God is so near to us that his ear is never too distant to hear our prayers or His arm too short to save us out of trouble. He is always near us to heal us if we are sick or at death’s door He can pull us out of death.

He is near enough to lead us day by day and His direction is so exact that He leads us step-by-step that’s how close He is to us. Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. So, this means that He will be close to us for the rest of our lives.

Once we live on this earth we will go to heaven and be in God’s presence with Jesus Christ for all eternity. Imagine to live with the living Christ in paradise for all eternity. He longs to keep us close by His side forevermore. God the Father is always near us as well. The Holy Spirit dwells in us if we are born again believers. Truly, it can be said Jesus is near.
