Psalm 91: A Psalm of Supernatural Protection

Psalm 91 is a key psalm for dwelling in the supernatural protection of God. The focus is to dwell in the shadow of the Most High. Psalm 91:1 “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”. To dwell in the secret place of the Most High requires us to spend time with God in His word and in prayer. We need to trust Him to stay in the secret place of His presence.

Hebrews 4:14-16 – Jesus Never Retires. He Is Always Interceding for Us.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.  Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16 Jesus is always interceding for us and He will never retire from interceding for us until the end of the age. We can come boldly to the throne of grace because of Him.

The Lord Is My Shepherd

Perhaps one of the most beautiful and anointed psalms in the bible. It has been quoted and there have been books written on this psalm. David, the famous king of Israel, wrote this popular psalm. Could you picture David meditating on the protection of God and thinking about how God delivered him from a bear and a fighting lion?

Psalm 91

One of the greatest Psalms written of protection in all the bible. Here is Psalm 91: ”He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings, you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands, they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life, I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

Matthew 18:20, Hebrews 4:16 and Psalm 34:4-20: We Pray Jesus Prays With Us

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20

Think with me I mean really think with me when two of us pray together Jesus appears with us and prays with us. How can Father God not help but answer? If two or more are gathered together in Jesus’ name He is there with them. He doesn’t come idly either He intercedes with us on our behalf. He adds so much power to our prayers when He prays with us.

Numbers 23:19: Jesus Said He Would, So He Will

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good. Numbers 23:19

God has promised many of us destinies years ago that haven’t come to pass but they will because He’s not a man that He should lie. He will bring His Good word to pass in our lives. He is capable and backs up what He promises us in HIS WORD. It cannot be reiterated enough that God always does what He says He will do.

Hebrews 13:5: Never Left Alone!

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He, Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you. ”Hebrews 13:5

He promised that He would never leave us alone, no never! What a comfort knowing God will never leave us alone in any circumstance in life. He is with us until the end of the age.
