The Kingdom Of God

What an awesome concept that once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior His kingdom comes to reside within each one of us. Jesus said in Luke 17:21 that “Nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.” The Kingdom of God is literally inside the believer. We are the Kingdom of God.

Jesus preached the Kingdom God is at hand throughout His ministry and He demonstrated the power of the Kingdom of God in His ministry. The kingdom of God in the believer carries the Word of God and all its power. Isaiah 2:2-4 defines the outcome of the Kingdom of God on the nations in the future:

Love Your Enemy

Luke 6:27-36 gives us  examples of what loving your enemy looks like and conditions when a person is not loving their enemies:

But to you who are listening, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,  bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.  If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.

The Living Power of God’s Word

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

God’s word is so powerful it transcends human thought and it’s more than just information in the bible. It’s God’s living, loving message to all mankind. Yes, all of mankind, not just a select few.

Jesus Never Fails

Jesus is the only one in the universe(besides the Holy Spirit and God the Father) who will never fail you in any situation the devil may try to throw against you.  Isaiah 54:17 says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper” how can that be that no weapon in life formed against us can work successfully? The weapon formed against us referred to in Isaiah 54:17references weapons Satan will try to use against us.

Remember, we said that Jesus never fails us in any situation in life because he already won the victory over life on Calvary. The bible also teaches us in Romans 8:37  that “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” This means that whatever we face in this life’s journey we will eventually overcome in Jesus. It doesn’t matter how bad the circumstance(s) may look we will eventually come out on top.

The Impossible Is Not Possible for God

Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing  shall be impossible.” This is the truth straight out of the bible. Mary, whom the truth was stated to took the statement in faith. It was delivered to her by Gabriel, an archangel, who was constantly in the presence of God. Mary said let be done to your servant as you have said.

God was able to perform the impossible for Mary because she considered Him who had promised faithful. The impossible task was for Mary to become pregnant with, Jesus the Son of God, without being intimate with a man. The Almighty through the Holy Spirit conceived the child in Mary’s womb while she was still a virgin.

Our Faith Overcomes the World

Overcome the World

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4

If we are in Jesus, we have overcome the world by our faith in Him. So, no matter what comes our way from our enemy the devil. We have already won the victory and overcome the devil by our faith in the Son of God.

His Mercy Endures

Who in today’s world would keep His word no matter how you treated Him or ignored him? If you were unfaithful to that person or committed a sin or offense against that person would they show you mercy every time? Or would they get tired of your bad behavior and just write you off and cut off the relationship forever.

Jesus is Always Kind

In a world of strife and constant change what can a person or who can a person safely anchor in that is stable and never changes? Jesus Christ and God the Father  according to Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” Before the foundation of the world, they were the same as they are today thousands of years after the world was created by the word of God.

Deep Living Waters

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water. John 4:10

Jesus will give anyone who believes in Him living waters that give eternal life. Come and drink from His living well now. He is sitting at the well waiting for us. There is no one on the earth that the Lord is not inviting to drink from His eternal well of living waters. His living waters are useful for so many purposes.

The Acceptable Year of the Lord

What does the scripture mean when it says “The acceptable year of the Lord. Specifically, what did the Lord Jesus mean when He said He came to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. Israel was in a poor spiritual state when Jesus came on the scene long ago.

They had turned the living word from God into a system of dead rules and regulations that they could never keep. God never intended for His children to be bogged down by back-breaking burdens and commands that they couldn’t keep. One would have to be a superman to even come close to keeping all the regulations the religious leaders in Jesus time had come up with.
